What is Backpack Self Defense?
It’s no secret—kids can sometimes be targeted by those with bad intentions. That’s why Backpack Self-Defense empowers young students with the skills they need to recognize threats, think on their feet, and protecthemselves in real-world situations.
Our high-energy, engaging classes teach children how to identify danger, avoid confrontation, and escape to safety. We tackle important topics like bullying and attempted abduction in a way that’s age-appropriate, memorable, and even fun.
One of our core principles is “Distance is Defense.” Students learn to use their backpacks as both protective shields and tools to create space—because the more distance from danger, the more time to react.
And to help make the lessons stick, the class combines music with our signature approach: channeling the power of dinosaurs! Today, students will unleash their inner “Karate Saurus,” using dinosaur-inspired moves and instincts to learn powerful self-defense tactics.
